Chakra meditation is a form of meditation that consists of a set of relaxation techniques focused on bringing balance, relaxation and well-being to the chakras. “Chakra” is an ancient Sanskrit word that means vortex or wheel that can be traced back to India.

Chakras are the human body’s seven main energy centers with each one corresponding to individual glands that govern our specific body parts plus various areas of the psyche. They are located next to a hormonal gland along the human spinal column.
Chakras can become blocked and if even one of the 7 Chakras becomes blocked, it sets us up for physical and emotional problems which is something no one wants.

How Do Chakra Meditation Techniques Work?

    Chakra Meditation

Our beautiful and mysterious universe distributes its divine life-force energy to the earth and to our glands and organs located throughout the body and bloodstream. This life-force energy is key in order to obtaining optimum well being and health. It’s believed that since the chakras are interrelated, they closely affect one another. By working to achieve the optimum level of balance.

    The Benefits of Meditation

The chakras provide a state of total emotional and physical well being. There is no other description for this except that it’s a tremendous achievement of an ideal state of health, well being, and a peaceful, quiet mind. By working to achieve the optimum level of balance and relaxation.

It’s also believed that the chakras can be greatly influenced by negative thoughts that have the ability to negatively impact the chakras’ correct functioning ability leading to an unhealthily state.

The Health Benefits of Energy Healing

It’s very interesting to note that based on a published American Heart Association’s study in November of 2012 about the impact of stress reduction programs using meditation the findings showed that meditation greatly helps to reduce stroke, heart attack, death, anger levels and the risks associated with coronary artery disease.

    Chakra Meditation

The results of the program are quite impressive with the participants who meditated twice a day for periods of 20 minutes each day. They were able to decrease heart attack and stroke risks by 48 percent. Additionally, they also reduced their anger levels. It’s interesting to note that the more frequent the meditation sessions, the higher the positive health benefits for the participants.

Coping with constant anger is extremely destructive to the mind and body. There are certain things that one should let go of, or walk away from if there’s no hope for change. To cite one example, toxic relationships are not only deadly, they are a detriment to healing.

Chakra Meditation Music & Chakra Colors to Meditate

Music is another discipline that’s also used in balancing the chakras. In addition to the music, the director has included many beautiful and colorful images. These chakra energy colors are also an important healing component.

An example of chakra colors includes green which relates to the heart and soul and helps to release emotionally suppressed trauma. Another dynamic color is indigo for the third eye that helps us see perfection in all things. Blue is also used with throat chakra meditation and the expression of truth through speech.

Other techniques used to support meditation include guided imagery, body relaxation, visualization and breathing techniques.
